Modes of Play – which way do you want to play Stenciletto?

Which way do you want to play?

We all like to approach a puzzle in a different way and to reflect this, Stenciletto can be played in different modes. There’s no right or wrong way and you’ll win an animated Smiley or Mandala when you successfully complete all 15 puzzles in the game.

Mortal and Immortal Modes are both competitive, so they can record your score on leaderboards. Mortal Mode is the hardest as you get less time and less lives. Immortal Mode gives you endless lives and more time to complete the puzzle.

Mindful Mode is non-competitive, so there’s no scoring or leaderboards. This is a relaxed way of playing the game, where you can take as much time as you like and use as much help as you like.

You can play Stenciletto in all three modes. Each mode keeps a record of your progress. Just remember when you start a new mode, Stenciletto will start from the beginning in the new mode. Your progress in other modes won’t be affected.

Mindful Mode (coming Feb 2024)

Mindful Mode has been one of the top requests from players.

In Mindful Mode, all competitive features have been removed. There’s no timer, scoring, leaderboards or lives. You have as much time as you like to complete a puzzle, and there’s no limit on use of help features.

Instead of the Score Panel at the bottom of the screen, there’s direct access to the sound and music controls.

Also, you can complete the puzzles in any order you choose, or leave a puzzle and open another one. You’ll still win your animation when the game is successful completed.

All-in-all, it’s a much more relaxed and mindful way of playing the game.

Mortal and Immortal Modes of play

Both of these play modes are competitive. They both have scoring, timer, leaderboards and lives. The Score Panel is shown at the bottom of the screen.

Mortal Mode is the default mode and is the hardest way to play. You’ll need to keep winning lives to stay in the game, or take timeout while new ones regenerate. (1 minute wait). You can play on the Mortals Leaderboards.

Immortal Mode looks the same as Mortal Mode, but you have an endless supply of lives in your Life Bank, plus you get a longer amount of time to complete the puzzles. You can play on the Immortals Leaderboards.
